A lot of people found alternative ways to get to work and school last year when gas prices skyrocketed, but now that prices have dropped, have they gone back to their old ways of driving alone? Not according to the Washington State Department of Transportation, which closely monitors fuel prices.
The WSDOT says we're still driving less. Here's the data.

SRTC is the federally designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for Spokane County. Urbanized areas with populations exceeding 50,000 people are required to have an MPO. SRTC was formed to address the county's transportation planning needs. Once you feel the sensation of "car freedom"--as in, free from pouring money into the pump--why go back?
People tried the bus & realized they could read a book and get to work easily, they rode their bikes and lost a pound or two.
