Succesful Paving Program Being Retired
A paving program that was a big success in Spokane Valley is being retired. The Spokane Valley Herald has the story on the STEP program and why it's being discontinued.
The Bond program has taken care of that on some streets, but not nearly enough. And when possible, the City departments such as Roads and Water coordinate to piece together funding to completely redo a road after Water or another utility does a project. But again, they're not able to do it often enough.
I wished the City of Spokane had done that, a lot of the streets are half smooth and half falling apart.
