High Drive from 29th Avenue to Bernard Street is scheduled
to reopen to traffic today at 4 p.m.
Major
construction shut down High Drive over the summer. The project included work to make the area more
pedestrian-friendly with bike paths and sidewalks. It not only added
aesthetically pleasing qualities but also functionality to the area. Phase One construction also included pavement reconstruction, storm, sewer, swales, and water main replacement from 29th Avenue
to Bernard Street.
The project finished on time and on budget.
Phase
Two of the High Drive project, Bernard Street to Scott Street, is scheduled to
begin in the spring of 2015.
