Big Drop In Commuters Who Drive Alone In Seattle
New numbers out of Seattle show that the share of downtown workers who commute alone by car has dropped significantly in the last 15 years.
The rate of solo car commuting to downtown Seattle was 50 percent in 2000. It was measured again in 2012.

About SRTC
SRTC is the federally designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for Spokane County. Urbanized areas with populations exceeding 50,000 people are required to have an MPO. SRTC was formed to address the county's transportation planning needs.
