Try Your Hand At Setting A Local Transportation Budget

I have a hard enough time just making sure there's still money in my savings account. And we're not talking millions of dollars. Or anywhere close. So imagine trying to balance a budget of $50 million and fixing a bunch of stuff that need fixing. Only your budget is too small.

That's what we're asking people to try their hand at with our new web tool. Go to http://performance.srtc.org/bp/get-started and try it out. We're basically asking you to apply that amount of money to a local transportation budget, and show us what areas (safety, roadway maintenance, bike and pedestrian improvements, safety, transit, etc.) are most important to you based on how you spend your (pretend) money.

Try it out and we will post some results as more people try their hand at it to see what other people's priorities are.
