About SRTC
SRTC is the federally designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for Spokane County. Urbanized areas with populations exceeding 50,000 people are required to have an MPO. SRTC was formed to address the county's transportation planning needs. It provides coordination in planning between the public, cities, small towns, the county, the state, transit providers, and tribes.

You mean people actually bothered to put studs on this year?

Unfortunately, some people did, including my neighbor. Drives me crazy every year. He's from upstate New York so prepares for the worst every year. I've pointed out to him numerous times that I have no problem getting around with my all-weather tires but he swears by his studs. It may be time for an intervention...
I challenge Spokane drivers who have never ever driven without studs to get a set of all weather tires next winter and discover that studs really don't make much of a difference.
We could organize some kind of studless driving competition... with a lot of legal disclaimers, of course.
