The Least and Most Expensive Vehicles To Insure

I've got a friend who's been eyeing a luxury car for a while now and, with the economy the way it is, she thinks she can finally afford it this year as the company is offering all kinds of deals and incentives. At least she thought she could until I brought up what it costs to insure luxury cars (way to be Debbie Downer huh?).

An annual study by Insure.com says the Ford Edge SE is the cheapest 2013 model year car to insure, while Mercedes-Benz is the most expensive. You folks driving Jeep Cherokees and Subaru Outbacks will also be happy to know you're on the cheap end, while Porsche and Jaguar drivers are shelling out the big bucks. They can afford it though, I'm assuming. So where does your car fit in?Here are the survey results.

The Ford Edge is becoming more popular and now I understand another reason why. The cost of insurance makes a big difference when you choose the right car. I had a Porsche and can vouch for the fact the insurance is expensive.
