High Drive Work Starts This Week

A section of High Drive
reconstructed last year.
Work starts this week on a $5 million makeover of High Drive from Bernard Street to Grand Boulevard. This is phase 2 of the High Drive project. Last year’s work involved the section from Bernard to 29th Avenue. This year’s work includes reconstruction of the pavement, the addition of sidewalks, storm and sewer facilities and a water main replacement.

Curbs will be installed where they are missing, and broken curbs will be replaced. Bike lanes are planned on both sides of High Drive with a new sidewalk on the south side.

The job will result in a closure of High Drive.
