Open House on US 195 Safety Improvements

US 195 through the Latah Valley
If you drive US 195, the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) wants you to know about some proposed safety improvements to US 195 they are considering. The WSDOT will host a public open house on Wednesday, Sept. 7 from 4-7 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, 5810 S. Meadowlane Road, to explain the potential improvements, answer questions and take suggestions. No formal presentation is planned. Attendees are welcome to come and go during the three-hour open house.

The WSDOT spent the past few months evaluating crashes at five intersections on US 195 in the Latah Valley neighborhood. As part of the study, engineers worked with the community and the City of Spokane to develop low-cost improvements at these intersections that will reduce the number and severity of collisions.
