...And Another Article on The STA Plaza Situation

With the talk of the regional transportation world this week being the delay of improvements to the Spokane
Transit Plaza in downtown Spokane, at the request of local business groups, the Inlander chimes in with it's own piece on the possibility of moving the Plaza. With that said, a lot of people want to remind you that moving the Plaza isn't what the conversation between business leaders and STA officials is about. At this time, the only action on the table was to delay updates to the Plaza building.

SRTC is the federally designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for Spokane County. Urbanized areas with populations exceeding 50,000 people are required to have an MPO. SRTC was formed to address the county's transportation planning needs. It provides coordination in planning between the public, cities, small towns, the county, the state, transit providers, and tribes.
