I reported earlier this week that ferry service between Florida and Cuba will be starting soon, according to AMNewYork. Now JetBlue has announced that they will offer a direct flight from Kennedy Airport in New York to Havana.
JetBlue, the first major carrier to offer a direct charter flight to Cuba, starts flying there in July.
The airline already flies to Cuba out of Florida, but why New York? Because New York's Cuban population is second only to Florida.
Despite improved relations between the U.S. and Cuba, there are limits to who can travel to Cuba, including people visiting family, on official business, doing journalism, and participating in arts and athletic competitions.
