Glow-in-the-Dark Road Makes Debut in Netherlands

There's an entire stretch of highway in the Netherlands with no streetlights. That's because the 500 meters of roadway is lit entirely by glow-in-the-dark markers, created using a photo-luminescent powder integrated into the road paint, developed in conjunction with road construction company Heijmans.

SRTC is the federally designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for Spokane County. Urbanized areas with populations exceeding 50,000 people are required to have an MPO. SRTC was formed to address the county's transportation planning needs.
