Spokane City Councilman Interviewed by Smart Growth For America

Well this is certainly an honor- Smart Growth for America just posted an interview they did with Councilman Jon Snyder last week regarding complete streets in Spokane.

The article talks about how Snyder spent two years getting the Complete Streets ordinance (PDF) passed, with the help of stakeholders, including SRTC.

It also mentions how the process of creating something like the ordinance gives neighborhoods a voice and a reason to participate in local government decisions besides when there's a crisis.

You can read the entire interview here.
