Drugged Driving Numbers Going Up
Everyone knows that drunk driving causes traffic accidents, but new statistics are showing that about 1 in 5 drivers who were killed last year in car crashes tested positive for drugs.
That's nearly
4,000 drivers who were killed in 2009, or 18% of the nearly 22,000 drivers killed last year.

About SRTC
SRTC is the federally designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for Spokane County. Urbanized areas with populations exceeding 50,000 people are required to have an MPO. SRTC was formed to address the county's transportation planning needs. It provides coordination in planning between the public, cities, small towns, the county, the state, transit providers, and tribes.

Drunk driving cases are rising day by day all over the world and government planning committee should take serious steps to check and also control DWI and DUI cases by imposing strict laws and penalties else this will very steeply become a burning issue.
