How Much Have You Hauled?
What are some of the more unusual items you've hauled on a bike? Everyone brings a water bottle for hydration, but how about this load of water bottles? Ever drag around your own keg of beer? Or how about your pets? Here are some other odd items people have managed to haul on their bikes, from Wired. I think the strangest thing I've hauled was a crockpot. The strangest thing I've hauled home is a battery jumper from Home Depot. I realized I needed to get one because my car was dead at home and since I hate asking people for help I bought one on the way home from work and it fit, barely, in my bike bag. Of course I had to ditch the box that it came in, but thank god it fit!
Way to be independent Ali! And good thinking. I never would have thought of it.
Let's see.... OH!!! The weirdest thing I ever hauled was a 8by13 inch casserole dish with food in it for a pot luck. Pot lucks are harder for the bicycling population.
I've hauled groceries in my trailer several times. Once I strapped a 24-pack of toilet paper on top of the trailer.

Hey, bicyclists have to go to the bathroom too! When a couple of the ladies and I were riding in Olympia last summer we saw a guy with a trailer hauling a cooler. We were jealous we hadn't thought of it.
Oh yes, the essential cooler.... HE HE!!!
I picked up a trailer meant to pull kids up to 70 pounds in at a yard sale last year. Those things are pretty useful for things like grocery hauling. The nice thing is they are light, rain proof, and built to carry up to two toddlers.
