San Francisco Police Use Twitter To Reunite Owners With Stolen Bikes

The San Francisco Police Department is using twitter to reunite owners with stolen bikes. Officers tweet stolen bike alerts and pictures of bikes they've recovered. Because many people don't report it to police when their bike is stolen, the rate of returned bikes to their owners is low. But the Twitter account is just one of the ways the SFPD is tackling bike theft.

Transportation Nation has more.
