No plans this weekend? Saturday is the annual Earth Day celebration at Riverfront Park. And while you're downtown, you should take a few minutes to stop by the Futurewise exhibit, 'Blueprint for Transit-Oriented Communities,' in the lobby of the Saranac building. The exhibit features information on growth patterns that give people access to choices in housing and transportation by creating more mixed-use and mixed-income neighborhoods with excellent pedestrian, bicycle and transit connectivity.
There's also an 'interactive word cloud' so you can leave your ideas about what you would like to see more of, and what you would like to see less of, in Spokane.
