Move Over Bike to Work Week, San Francisco Launches Bike to Worship Week

You've heard of Bike to Work Week, but what about Bike to Worship Week? It's an interfaith community event led by San Francisco Bicycle Coalition members of all different faiths in partnership with the San Francisco Interfaith Council and California Interfaith Power and Light.

According to the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition, various congregations worked from May 24-31 to raise visibility of biking to worship and anywhere else.

For many bicyclists, while they ride everywhere else, biking to church is not a normal part of their routine Sunday. The participating churches promoted the event with regular announcements through weekly emails, a quarterly newsletter, announcements following the sermon, the printed bulletin,  Facebook pages and more.
