Had your bike stolen due to an inferior bike lock? Well, get ready because there could soon be a new "Smart" bike lock on the market, if a Kickstarter project gains traction. The Lock8 has no keys to lose or combinations to remember. Instead, you unlock it using your smartphone. It also contains a motion sensor, a temperature sensor and a hot wired cable to sense any attempted tampering with the lock. And once someone does mess with it, they get a siren blasting in their ear.
But wait, there's more. You can also send a code to your friends' phones so they can unlock it and use your bike or so they can track your bike if it's tampered with and you're away.
