MAP-21 Could Be Threatened By Proposed Budget Deal


The government shutdown continues and people are starting to get seriously irritated now.
But one of the proposals to end the shutdown could threaten funding to MAP-21, the federal surface transportation act. About 18 Representatives are proposing to repeal the medical device tax, a provision within the ACA (“Obamacare”) legislation. If that happens, MAP-21 could be impacted by the mechanism to replace the revenue lost by repealing the tax.
