A Cure For The Common Sidewalk

Tired of boring old gray sidewalks that do nothing but get you where you're going? It turns out there are a lot of alternatives to the usual city sidewalks, created with everything from paint to trampolines. Some were extremely expensive to create and others use everyday items and creativity, like this umbrella instalation in Portugal above.

Flavorwire set out to see what the options were and came up with examples from all over the world. These pictures represent just a few of the unusual sidewalks and walkways out there.

Boring but they serve the purose. I REALLY want that trampoline sidewalk but just know I would get overzealous and hurt myself.
