Skagit Bridge Reopens Less Than 1 Month After Collapsing

The big news today is that the Skagit Bridge has reopened this morning, less than a month after it collapsed.  Both directions of Interstate 5 are now open across the Skagit River. Oversized or overweight loads will not be allowed across the temporary span however.

Crews worked around the clock to get the bridge reopened in record time. Here's a time-lapse video of the debris removal and the construction of the temporary bridge.
