The Number Of People Using Phones While Driving Isn't Dropping

Spokane drivers continue to ignore cellphone laws, citation numbers show.

State troopers and other officers issued 1,448 of the $101 tickets in Washington between May 20 and June 2 of this year. During the same period last year, 1,059 tickets were handed out for the same offense.

Locally, the numbers are almost double from a year ago. The Spokesman-Review has the story.
